FAQs

What is Eucharistic Adoration? Eucharistic Adoration is prayer before Jesus truly present in the Blessed Sacrament. The consecrated Host is placed in a monstrance, the sacred vessel which allows the Blessed Sacrament to be seen and adored. During adoration we come into Jesus’ presence, sitting or kneeling; He remains with us and we remain with Him.
Who is Eucharistic Adoration for? Everyone. Whether you are young or old, busy or retired, deeply prayerful or just beginning, Jesus invites you to come be with Him.
Is this chapel only for people from certain parishes? No. The Adoration Chapel will be open to all parishioners and visitors throughout Sheboygan County.
Will the chapel be open 24 hours a day? Yes. Our goal is to have perpetual Eucharistic Adoration, meaning Jesus will be present day and night. This requires committed adorers to ensure He is never left alone. If we are unable to support 24/7 adoration right away, we will initially open with more limited hours.
What does it mean to be a “committed adorer”? A committed adorer chooses one regular hour each week to be with the Lord. This commitment helps ensure that every hour of the day is covered with prayerful presence. If you feel the Lord is calling you to be a committed adorer, will you please pray about what hour of the week this may be?
Will I be able to visit the chapel even if I don’t commit to an hour? Absolutely! Whenever you are able, you can come to pray. The Blessed Sacrament will be present for prayer, regardless of anyone’s time commitment. If at some point your availability changes, please pray about becoming a committed adorer.
Will the chapel be safe, especially at night? Yes. The chapel will have controlled access via a keypad. Only those who have the code will have access to it.
How can I learn more or get involved? Please attend the interest meeting on March 24.
