FAQs
What is Adoration?
It is the worship of the Holy Eucharist outside of Mass. The Most Blessed Sacrament is displayed for all to see and pray in the presence of Christ. In other words, it’s a chance to be with Jesus, who we believe is truly present in the Eucharist. There’s nothing complicated about it—you can sit, pray, think, or just be still. Our goal is to have someone with Him at all times.
It brings peace in a busy world, deepens your relationship with God, and strengthens families and our parishcommunity. Even a few minutes can make a big difference!
What If I’ve Never Done This Before?
That’s completely okay. Everyone starts somewhere. You can come for just a few minutes. Over time, it becomes more natural and meaningful.
What Do I Do During Adoration?
There’s no one “right” way to “do” adoration. The whole point is simply to spend time in the presence of Jesus. How you spend that time is up to you, but here are a few ideas:
- Sit quietly
- Read the Bible or a devotional
- Write in a prayer journal
- Pray the Rosary
- Practice mental prayer
- Enjoy the silence
You don’t have to do it perfectly—just come.
Do I Have to Commit to a Set Schedule?
A regular hour is encouraged, but flexibility is allowed. You may try adoration before committing, share an hour, or sign up for more than one.
Can Children Come?
Yes! Families are welcome. Quiet resources are available in our lending library.
Is Silence Required?
Yes. To maintain a prayerful atmosphere, please refrain from conversation and pray silently.
How Do I Sign Up?
Sign up through Adoration Pro (online scheduling system). Go to “Weekly Commitment” to secure your hour and/or substitute availability. adorationpro.org/sheboygan

Scheduling is managed through Adoration Pro. For help, contact Catherine Gallagher at adorationsheboygan@gmail.com or call the parish office at (920) 458-7721.
What if I’m Alone or Someone Misses Their Hour?
There should always be at least two adorers present. If you arrive alone, begin your prayer time as scheduled. If you need to leave and no one has arrived, simply close the tabernacle doors.
What if I Need to Miss My Hour?
Use Adoration Pro to request a substitute. It automatically sends out the request.
